Quakebook

I'd like to share a link with you, quakebook.  It's a book that has been published to share the wide experiences brought on by the devastating earthquake at 2:46 p.m. on March 11, 2011.  It is also a fundraiser for survivors & victims of the quake.  The stories are moving and true, and it's the work of ordinary people just like you and me.

Take a minute and check out the site and it's mission.  The site is tri-lingual (English, German & Japanese).  The original book is available in English as an e-book (Now for free!  See May 28 blog post at the link below), and will be available in print from June 14 (bilingual in English & Japanese, but not free~though 100% of the money from it goes to the Japanese Red Cross).

Questioning

First of all, good evening and apologies!  This has been a busy week!  More of your reports going up from tomorrow!

This week/weekend has been busy with baseball and preparations to send my child off to Okinawa!  I'd love to go, too (wouldn't you as well?) but also look forward to a couple of days of parenthood-vacation!

Did you just ask yourself what that means?  Good.  That brings us back to the REAL topic, questions.  Questions show curiosity and interest; they keep topics flowing and enable us to exchange information. What events have sparked your interest, sent questions racing through your mind recently?  As we explore recent events, we will be looking for and exploring those questions!
